FAS Finalises Project with Partners in DRC

From 4 to 8 August, 2007, Bineta Diop, Executive Director of Femmes Africa Solidarité (FAS) and Rosalie Lo, Programme Officer, travelled to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to finalise the implementation framework for FASs latest DRC project. This project aims to integrate gender perspectives into the democratization process which is currently underway in the country.

FAS will be working with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), and a national-level steering committee to implement and monitor the project. This committee is composed of representatives from the Cadre de Concertation de Femmes Congolaises, members of the Réseau des Femmes Africaines Ministres et Parlementaires/Section RDC, and several government Ministers.
