FAS Participates in 6th HRC

The United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) held its 6th Session from the 10th to 28th September, 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland. Several debates were relevant to the work of Femmes Africa Solidarité (FAS). The Session included a debate on the integration of a gender perspective in the work of the Council and a debate on the situation of human rights in Darfur, Sudan and the surrounding region. FAS voiced its concerns and made suggestions during both these and submitted a written statement on the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
